School principals seeks forum to discuss exam concerns

The organisation representing Irish school principals is reportedly seeking a national forum on education to discuss concerns surrounding the Leaving Cert exams.

The National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals wants the forum to be set up within six months to discuss a range of issues, including claims that the exams are being "dumbed down".

The association is also worried about the low uptake of certain subjects, poor performance in science and maths and the fact that most students now take grinds.
