Stewart says farewell to crooning with New York concert
14/10/2005 - 09:31:56Rod Stewart is ending his career as a crooner with a one-night stand at New York City's Madison Square Garden.
The rocker will perform tracks from the fourth and final instalment of his Great American Songbook, which is released the day before the 19 October show.
Stewart will then start work on an album of classic soul covers.
Joining the singer at the gig will be Cyndi Lauper and Melissa Etheridge.
