Jordan classic released on DVD
14/10/2005 - 20:07:05Neil Jordan’s The Company of Wolves Special Edition (Granada) marks the 21st year of its cinema release, a tale — or tails — of the unexpected with a fantasy spin on werewolves and Little Red Riding Hoods that adds a sexual element to the chemistry.
A strange mix this, with Stephen Rea and Angela Lansbury among the cast.
Still, it’s a very quirky feast which I hadn’t seen since its debut. This edition comes complete with an insightful Jordan commentary, stills gallery, behind-the-scenes feature.
Enough to whet anyone’s appetite, even a werewolf’s.
