Appeal over missing girl, 13
British police today appealed for help in tracing a 13-year-old girl who may have travelled to Ireland with an older man.
Detectives believe Maxine Victoria Bindi, who was last seen at her home in Lindel Road, Fleetwood, Lancashire, on October 2 could be in the Galway area.
It is understood she may be in the company of 32-year-old Alan Thomas Keegan, who is known to Maxine’s family.
Police said Maxine’s mother was extremely worried about her and keen to hear from her.
“Maxine is a schoolgirl of Afro-Caribbean descent,” a spokesman said.
“She has shoulder-length black hair usually tied up in a ponytail, has brown eyes and is five foot tall with a southern accent.
“She was last seen wearing a white hooded top with a monkey on the front, pale jeans with pink hearts on back pocket and wearing black Reebok trainers, size seven.
“Keegan is described as being 1m 78cm (5ft 10ins) tall, chubby appearance with blue eyes and black collar-length hair, which is receding.”
Anyone who has seen the young girl or has any information has been requested to contact police or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
