Uma chooses Oprah for emotional outpouring

Uma Thurman chose The Oprah Winfrey Show as the forum in which to bawl her eyes out and open her heart about her split from actor hubby Ethan Hawke.

The stars got married in 1998 and have two children, but the divorce was finalised in August of this year, following rumours of infidelity on the part of Hawke.

For her part, Thurman didn’t allude to any extra-marital activity, but added the break-up was excruciating and despite still talking for the sake of their kids, the pair don’t really talk about what’s happening in each other’s lives.

Uma has moved on and is dating hotelier Andre Balazs, while she said that her ex was also “moving on” with his life.
