Fulham warn fans

10/10/2005 - 14:29:11
Fulham supporters have been warned they could be banned from Craven Cottage if they continue to stand throughout home games.

The club will crack down hard on fans it believes are “persistently standing” and today issued a blunt warning that it will no longer be tolerated.

“We have tried to encourage supporters to sit, however as the problem has continued and is contrary to our ground regulations and our license from the Football Licensing Authority, we now have no alternative but to take action and start removing and potentially banning fans who break the rules,“ said a Fulham club spokesman.

“We know the game is exciting and passionate and we understand that at various points in a match, you’re going to stand up as part of supporting your team however we ask that supporters stop persistently standing as this leaves the club with no choice but to take action.”
