Chelsea await Duff scans
10/10/2005 - 12:37:24Chelsea will await the results of further scans in order to assess whether Damien Duff will be fit to face Bolton on Saturday.
Duff, 26, has already been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland’s clash with the Swiss on Wednesday after he collected a knee injury in our 1-0 World Cup qualifying group victory over Cyprus and has returned to the Barclays Premiership champions for further treatment.
He underwent an initial scan with the Irish squad but the knee will be examined once more before any decision is taken on whether he will be fit to play at the weekend.
