Post mortem due on Lithuanian man found dead in Cork

A post mortem is due to be carried out later today on the body of a Lithuanian man who was found dead in suspicious circumstances in Cork city yesterday.

The man, who was in his late 30s or 40s, was discovered in the garden of a house off the Lower Glanmire Road just after 4pm.

He apparently lived in a flat in the house and reports this morning said he was believed to have suffered stab wounds to his head and upper body.

Two Lithuanian men and a woman are helping the Gardaí with their inquiries into the death.
