Pinpoint finds mark at Salisbury
08/10/2005 - 14:06:04Pinpoint ran out a clear-cut winner of the opening contest at Salisbury to delight the members of the Full Circle ownership syndicate.
Ted Durcan’s mount (10-1) could scarcely have done the job any better as he quickened clear from the furlong-pole to beat Tabadul by three lengths.
Durcan told connections afterwards that the gelded son of Pivotal should make into an even nicer horse next season with another winter on his back.
“He is a big horse and is still a bit weak and he might have found the ground a bit testing last time,” said the jockey.
“But it is perfect ground and everything went just great for him in the race. He is a nice, improving horse who should be stronger as a four-year-old.”
