Calls for action to tackle unruly 'trick or treat-ers'

As Halloween draws closer, a Fianna Fáil TD wants local authorities to address the growing problem of anti-social behaviour.

Dublin backbencher Barry Andrews believes town and county councils should have dedicated units in place to deal with the problem.

He claims the behaviour of “trick or treat-ers” is getting out of control.

Deputy Andrews says it may be time for towns and cities around the country to have one centralised bonfire rather than several isolated ones.
