Bullock recalls New York mugging horror
07/10/2005 - 10:54:25Sandra Bullock still has nightmares about her New York City mugging attack - and still can't believe she walked away from it unscathed.
The actress was a struggling waitress when she was approached by a mugger who demanded she hand over her cash.
She recalls: "I'd finished waitressing and I had my tips in a little pack. He was on something, I realised it and I was like: 'If I just turn and walk away back towards the restaurant the cute bartender that I liked at the time of course will save me.'
"I just walked and I kept thinking: 'Just don't shoot me in the spine.' It was stupid but I think I knew enough about his mannerisms; he was just as scared as I was."
