Babyshambles axed from festival
07/10/2005 - 15:57:41Controversial rocker Pete Doherty's band Babyshambles have been axed from an Icelandic music festival in the wake of his on/off girlfriend Kate Moss's cocaine scandal.
Babyshambles were dropped from the island's Airwaves festival because organisers fear Doherty's well-publicised drug addiction and his relationship with supermodel Moss.
Photographs of Moss allegedly snorting cocaine in Babyshambles' recording studio were published by a British newspaper last month.
A spokesman for the event says: "Due to the current situation the Iceland Airwaves festival management has decided to cancel Babyshambles' scheduled performance on the festival."
