Vinnie cup decision expected this week
05/10/2005 - 10:34:52A decision whether to send Vinnie Roe to Australia for the Emirates Melbourne Cup will be made this week.
The seven-year-old has run in the Flemington contest twice before and was second to Makybe Diva in 2004
He was recently thwarted in his bid for a fifth consecutive Irish St Leger, settling for third behind Collier Hill.
“The horse is in quarantine and is well,” trainer Dermot Weld told the Racing Post.
“Everything is perfect but I won’t decide until later this week.”
