Women escape injury in petrol bomb

A group of women escaped injury after sectarian thugs launched a petrol bomb at an Orange Hall in north Belfast, police said today.

The Greencastle Orange Lodge on the lower Whitewell Road was targeted at about 9pm yesterday, 24 hours after it was attacked with stones.

The device landed on a grassy area and burned itself out.

Detectives are treating the attack as sectarian and have appealed for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity to come forward.
