Politicians meet victims of Co Antrim sectarian attacks
05/10/2005 - 13:35:59A group of Catholics from various parts of north Antrim are meeting TDs and Senators today to discuss an ongoing campaign of sectarian attacks in their area.
The Ulster Defence Association has been accused of orchestrating the spate of attacks on Catholic property in Ballymena and surrounding areas over the past number of months.
Schools, churches, businesses and houses have all been targeted as part of the campaign.
Speaking ahead of today's talks, Kathleen McCahey from Ahoghill said she had been forced to leave the home she has lived in for the past 51 years.
She said her house had been repeatedly attacked, including with paint bombs and petrol bombs, while her grandchildren had also been threatened.
