INO welcomes move to suspend rollout of PPARS system

The Irish Nurses Organisation has welcomed moves to suspend the introduction of a controversial computerised payroll system in the health sector.

Reports this morning said the move would be recommended by HSE chief executive Brendan Drumm at a board meeting later this week.

The organisation said the introduction of the system was using up valuable management time and even taking precedence over patient care.
