Central Bank reports continued high mortgage demand
30/09/2005 - 12:43:51The Central Bank has reported continued strong demand for mortgages last month.
The bank said today that €1.9bn worth of residential mortgages were taken out in August, the second-highest monthly increase since records began.
Overall, the bank said total debt levels had increased by €4.5bn to almost €237bn.
