Kepak not to renew Meath sponsorship
It will truly be a new era for Meath's footballers when the 2006 inter-county season begins.
Only a few weeks after long-term manager Sean Boylan announced that he would not be seeking a 24th year in charge of the Meath senior team, sponsors Kepak are also ending their long association with the Royals.
Kepak, the Clonee meat processors founded by the late Noel Keating in 1981, came on board as Meath sponsors back in 1991, replacing O'Reilly Transport on the county's famed green-and-gold jerseys at adult and underage level.
Only close rivals Dublin, who are backed by Arnotts, have had a lengthier sponsorship deal than Meath in GAA circles.
In a statement, Kepak wished new Meath manager Eamonn Barry the best of luck in his role and said it was honoured to have been associated with the county during such a successful period on the football field.
During Kepak's sponsorship, the county's senior footballers won two All-Irelands, one National League title and four Leinster titles.
