Ploughing Championships get underway in Cork
27/09/2005 - 08:21:43The 76th annual Ploughing Championships are due to get underway in Co Cork later today.
Around 150,000 people are expected to attend the event, which is taking place over the next three days at a 400-acre farm in Mogeely.
President Mary McAleese is due to formally open the competition at midday today, while the Taoiseach and politicians from all the main parties will also be in attendance.
