Consumers advised to shop around for personal loans
27/09/2005 - 11:02:47The financial regulator has advised consumers that they can make substantial savings by shopping around for personal loans.
The regulator said people could save hundreds of euro annually depending on the type of loan they take out and the financial institution they choose to borrow from.
It said a survey it conducted found differences of up to €330 on the total cost of repaying a €7,000 variable-rate loan over a period of three years.
