Defoe strike gives Spurs the points

Tottenham claimed a narrow Premiership victory over London rivals Fulham at White Hart Lane thanks to Jermain Defoe’s early strike.
The visitors’ only moment of real hope came when Claus Jensen’s shot hit the crossbar, while Spurs had a watertight defence with Ledley King a commanding figure.
This was only their third win of the season and redeems last week’s Carling Cup defeat at Grimsby.
