Dublin's Mater, Temple Street to be replaced by new €490m campus
26/09/2005 - 16:00:37The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has promised that the existing Mater and Temple Street Children's hospitals will be replaced by a new hospital due to get the go-ahead soon.
Hospital development workers are confident the Tánaiste will give the go-ahead for building to commence in the spring.
It is believed that the new hospital campus will cost €490m and w ill not be completed until 2010.
Health experts believe the building will crack down on the spread of the MRSA super-bug by helping to reduce hospital overcrowding.
