Kylie hopes to appear at breast cancer ball
26/09/2005 - 11:04:58Cancer sufferer Kylie Minogue is hoping she will be strong enough to guest star at a London charity ball in aid of breast cancer awareness next month.
The I Believe In You star is currently undergoing chemotherapy in Paris, France, while staying with boyfriend Olivier Martinez, and the event - held by Cancer Research UK - would be her first public appearance since being diagnosed with the disease in May.
A source says: "Kylie is determined to attend the ball. It's for a very good cause and she's aiming to be strong enough to be there. She's a real fighter and wants to do her bit for the charity.
"It's unlikely she'll perform but Kylie definitely wants to attend and raise money for cancer research."
