Nelson heads O'Brien squad
24/09/2005 - 14:43:30Horatio Nelson, second-favourite for next year’s 2000 Guineas, heads the list of 11 runners left in Thursday’s Shadwell Stud Middle Park Stakes at the five-day stage.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained colt took the Futurity Stakes in impressive style last time out.
And he could be joined by stablemates Ivan Denisovich and Art Museum at Newmarket as the Prix Morny runner-up and Blenheim Stakes winner have also been confirmed by the Ballydoyle handler.
Ivan Denisovich could clash again with Eoghan O’Neill’s Morny third Always Hopeful, while Mark Johnston has Sirenia Stakes winner Prince Of Light in the six-furlong event.
Gimcrack Stakes winner Amadeus Wolf, Classic Encounter, Guest Connections, Johnny Alpha, West Of Amarillo and Coventry Stakes winner Red Clubs complete the line-up.
