Derry bid to keep treble dream alive
24/09/2005 - 09:53:37Having claimed the eircom League Cup on Tuesday, Derry City will hope to stay on course for an amazing treble by seeing off Shamrock Rovers in tonight’s FAI Cup quarter final.
The Candystripes are in top form and are now 21 games unbeaten, but Shamrock Rovers are the only team to have won at the Brandywell this season and will be hoping to do it again.
Derry are at full strength and likely to pick the same starting XI that beat UCD in the eircom League Cup final on Tuesday night.
Shamrock Rovers will be without Marc Kenny (cup-tied) while Jason McGuinness has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee problem.
