Gallas hangs on for Chelsea verdict
23/09/2005 - 11:42:08William Gallas will remain at left-back for Chelsea if Asier Del Horno is not fit for tomorrow’s home clash against Aston Villa.
Del Horno has been sidelined with a thigh injury sustained against Sunderland and is more likely to return against Liverpool on Wednesday in the Champions League.
Eidur Gudjohnsen should have recovered from a minor illness but Wayne Bridge is not ready for a first-team recall despite playing in the 4-0 win over Watford’s reserves. Right-back Glen Johnson is fit again from the thigh problems he encountered on England Under-21 duty.
