Ireland and Britain to jointly purchase flu vaccines

Ireland and Britain have reportedly submitted a joint tender for the purchase of vaccines to tackle a potential flu outbreak this winter.

Reports this morning said the move was designed to reduce the cost of fighting any outbreak.

Ireland is reportedly looking for around a million vaccines, which would be enough to treat around a quarter of the population.
