Stocks fall on ISEQ
22/09/2005 - 12:06:53It was a particularly bad morning for the ISEQ as it followed the global trend of falling stocks in reaction to Hurricane Rita.
The ISEQ was down 66.44 to 6588.54 by 11am this morning.
The financials all fell this morning. BoI slumped the most, falling 24c to €12.56. AIB fell 15c to €17.25, Anglo Irish Bank fell 14c to €10.75. Irish Life and Permanent dropped 5c to €14.90.
Share prices for construction companies also fell on today's ISEQ. Building material group CRH fell 12c to €21.60. Grafton fell 22c to €8.35 and Kingspan fell 13c to €10.62. McInerney holdings recorded no change.
Ryanair, whose fuel costs are likely to be affected by the rise in the cost of oil, fell 10c to €6.60.
