Kamara KO for West Brom

21/09/2005 - 10:29:33
West Brom midfielder Diomansy Kamara looks certain to miss the weekend’s Premiership clash against Charlton with twisted ankle ligaments.

The Senegal international, signed from Modena in the summer, scored his first goal for the club in yesterday’s 4-1 success over Bradford in the Carling cup.

But Kamara, who was on loan to Portsmouth last season, was forced to hobble out of the action shortly before half-time.

Albion manager Bryan Robson said: “Diomansy has twisted his ankle ligaments and he has got a bit of swelling there.

“It should settle down over the next couple of days but I think he’ll be doubtful for the Charlton game.

“I was pleased for him before he got injured. Early on in the game he really put Bradford on the back foot and got himself a goal.

“It was a bit unfortunate that we could not see a bit more of him because of the injury.”
