‘Loyalist riots could hinder overseas investments’ - Ahern

The Minister for Foreign Affairs today said loyalist violence had put a number of overseas investments into Ireland on hold.

Dermot Ahern met with employers group IBEC and members of the Confederation of British Industry in the North.

He called on business leaders on both sides of the border to put extra funding into social exclusion projects.

The Minister said the recent riots appeared to have discouraged foreign investment.
