Mariah wants to talk like a Londoner
21/09/2005 - 17:38:01Superstar Mariah Carey loves watching British soap opera Eastenders and is trying to adopt the characters' trademark cockney accent.
The 34-year-old singer is determined to become a true Londoner when she moves to the city, joining the likes of Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, who have made the British capital their homes.
Carey says: "I love Eastenders and I've asked a friend of mine to record some episodes for me. I love the way they speak - the cockney accent, so I'm gonna learn it."
