Oil companies doing well on ISEQ

Oil companies recorded some of the biggest increases on a slow morning for the ISEQ. Dragon Oil rose by more than 5% to €2.70 while Tullow Oil rose over 3%, up 11c to €3.64.

Construction company McInerney also had a good days trading, they rose 15c to €8.05.

Shipping group Irish Continental slumped 15c to €9.75.

Takeover target Jurys rose 8c to €18.60.

AIB had the best day of the financials, rising 14c to €17.65. Bank of Ireland rose 7c to €12.89 and Irish Life and Permanent rose 5c to €15.05.

Anglo Irish Bank fell 4c to €10.91.

Overall the ISEQ is trading at 6710.95 up 24.6 points.
