Portsmouth v Birmingham

17/09/2005 - 14:46:26
Portsmouth manager Alain Perrin resisted the temptation to change a winning side for this afternoon’s Barclays Premiership clash with Birmingham at Fratton Park.

The Frenchman kept faith with the same XI who had started in the victory over Everton last weekend, with John Viafara and Serbian midfielder Zvonimir Vukic on the bench.

Birmingham – looking for their second away win following some poor home form - were forced to bring in Oliver Tebily because of injury to right-back Mario Melchiot.

Jamie Clapham dropped to the bench, as Julian Gray came in, while striker Emile Heskey was passed fit following an ankle problem.
