Four arrested over Sinnott disappearance are released

17/09/2005 - 08:42:34
Gardaí have released two men and two women who were being questioned yesterday about the disappearance of Wexford woman Fiona Sinnott.

A total of six people, including a chief suspect, have now been questioned since Wednesday last after Gardaí received what was described as fresh “significant” information.

The breakthrough comes over seven years after the 19-year-old mother one went missing in February 1998.

Fiona has been presumed dead and Gardaí say they are now treating her disappearance as a murder investigation.

Detectives will hold a conference early next week to review progress made, and a file is then expected to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
