Child safety campaign takes to the road
17/09/2005 - 08:32:59Ireland is hosting the country's first ever road-show aimed at reducing child death and injury on the roads.
Research carried out in the UK has shown two out of three child car seats aren't correctly fitted.
The National Safety Council will be in Blanchardstown, in West Dublin today, with information and advice for parents who will be shown how to properly fit child car seats.
The road-show will travel to Waterford, Cork and Galway over the next five days.
Safety experts want to get the message out to parents that buying a seat isn't good enough, they need to stop and think and get it right.
