Dublin hospital develops new breast cancer drug

A major breakthrough in the treatment of breast cancer has been detected.

Scientists at Saint Vincent's Hospital in Dublin today gave details of a new drug, Herceptin, which reduces the reccurence of cancer by 51% compared to chemotherapy.

It is one of the most common types of cancer in women in Ireland.
