Must Love Dogs

One of those typical Hollywood romances full of characters and situations we seldom encounter in real life and yet it still manages to entertain, on its own level.

There is the just-divorced guy, the insecure forty-something lady who seems ideal, the over-smooth womaniser and the fix-it sister.

But, they all try just a tad too hard to bring charm and meaning to an indifferent storyline.

Lane is excellent as the forty-something teacher and Cusack matches her as the nice divorce, but there’s little originality to the film.
