A chiller from Australia, done with great care and attention to detail so that its almost documentary feel adds to its compelling watchability.
The storyline is based on true events: a party of Outback back-packers finds itself stranded and then rescued by apparently friendly local bushman.
Only, as if you didn’t know, things are not what they seem.
The bleak setting is matched by the hopelessness of the frightening situation – if nobody knows you’re in trouble, even where you are, how can help be provided?
Jarratt, as the psycho, is terrifically terrifying and it’s a truly excellent white-knuckle ride.
