Jared Borgetti struck a precious but controversial stoppage-time winner to ensure a winning start fort Bolton in their first European tie.
Bulgarian outfit Lokomotiv Plovdiv victory claimed a shock lead through Boban Janchevski before El-Hadji Diouf headed Bolton level ater 72 minutes.
And with the seconds running down on the clock, Mexican striker Borgetti, on as a second-half substitute, fired home from a marginally offside position to fire Wanderers to a slender victory ahead of the second leg in a fortnight’s time.
