Jay Z a favourite of Paltrow's daughter
Hip-hop star Jay-Z has picked up a new unlikely fan - Gwyneth Paltrow's 16-month-old daughter Apple.
While Apple boasts Coldplay frontman Chris Martin as her father, she's more impressed with the lyrics and beats of Jay-Z's rap music - much to the surprise of her parents.
Paltrow says: "She is really, really musical. Like, if you sing to her, she'll sing back in the same pitch. She loves music. She loves it when you put music on in the house.
"It's weird though, 'cause she's very, very into hip-hop. She loves Jay-Z. She loves The Black Album. It's just so funny, because she's like this little white cherub with the blonde hair and big cheeks and then you put on like 99 Problems and she's (rocking her head)… She loves it."
But Paltrow insists Apple also enjoys her dad's more calming brand of music, adding: "We were in the car the other day and his song Fix You came on the radio and then when it came off, she went: 'More Daddy, more Daddy!'"
