Fine Gael claims Morris Report gardaí have not been transferred

14/09/2005 - 12:28:13
Fine Gael has claimed that some of the gardaí who were supposed to be transferred from Donegal amid corruption allegations are still on active duty in the area.

The Garda Commissioner had promised to move the men to Dublin after they were criticised in a report from the Morris Tribunal earlier this year.

The Gardaí have categorically denied the claim, saying three of the officers in question are on sick leave, one has retired and the other is appealing his transfer.
