Govt sets up new helpline for crime victims
12/09/2005 - 08:23:27The Government has established a new helpline where the victims of crime can receive emotional support and information.
The helpline is funded by the Department of Justice's Commission for the Support of the Victims of Crime.
It can be contacted between the hours of 10am and 4pm from Monday to Friday on 1850 211 407.
The helpline will focus on providing support to victims, but callers can also request information about the criminal justice system and other agencies that provide similar help.
