Mixed fortunes for construction companies on today's ISEQ
12/09/2005 - 17:44:06Construction companies had mixed fortunes on today's ISEQ, despite the announcement of construction activity rising for the 24th month in a row.
Kigspan rose 5c to €10.78 and CRH rose 1c to €22.61. Grafton however plumetted 14c to €8.90 while McInerney also fell, dropping 5c to €8.15.
Bank of Ireland rose 1c to €13.13, on the back of their corporate expansion plans being unveiled today. Anglo Irish Bank dropped 14c to €11.16, AIB fell 6c to €17.82 and Irish Life and Permanent fell 4c €14.94.
Oil companies did well on a lacklustre day for the ISEQ. Dragon Oil rose 7c to €2.47 while Tullow Oil rose 2c to €3.37.
The ISEQ finished with the exchange currently trading at 6799.55, down 9.36 points on opening.
