Henry to miss Thun clash
11/09/2005 - 10:53:06Thierry Henry will miss Arsenal’s Champions League opener against Swiss side FC Thun on Wednesday but Sol Campbell could be in contention for his first game of the season.
Arsene Wenger said after the 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough that Henry, out with a groin injury, will not recover in time for the game.
The Arsenal manager also confirmed that Manuel Almunia will be given an chance to restore his reputation in place of the suspended Jens Lehmann with Estonian keeper Mart Poom, signed on loan from Sunderland on deadline day, as his back-up.
Campbell has recovered from a calf injury but has been short of fitness while Swiss centre-back Philippe Senderos could also return alongside him.
