Secretary loses FA sex scandal case

09/09/2005 - 15:40:23
Sex scandal secretary Faria Alam has lost her employment tribunal case against England's Football Association.

Miss Alam, 39, claimed she was the victim of constructive dismissal from the FA following high profile flings with England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, 56, and the organisation’s former chief executive, Mark Palios.

The tribunal heard she sent a string of explicit emails detailing her affairs with Eriksson – whom she called “Sugar” – and Mr Palios, dubbed “PP” or “Pretty Polly”.

During evidence, she also claimed that her boss, FA executive director David Davies, had made unwanted advances towards her and pestered her for sex.

Her claims of harassment were denied by Mr Davies and it was revealed that Miss Alam had previously said the director had never “tried it on”.
