Two held after cannabis seizure
09/09/2005 - 08:49:08Two men were being questioned today after drugs with a street value of €140,000 were seized from a vehicle in Cork.
Gardai discovered three kilos (6.6lb) of cannabis resin after a vehicle was stopped and searched at the Dunkettle Interchange in Mayfield at around 8.30pm last night.
A follow-up search of a house in the Wilton area of the city uncovered a further 17 kilos (37.5lb) of cannabis resin.
Two men, both in their mid-20s, were being detained at Mayfield Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
