Indian IT firm to create 600 call-centre jobs in the North
08/09/2005 - 09:10:27An Indian IT firm is planning to create more than 600 jobs as part of an expansion of its call-centre operation in the North.
The move was announced today by British Prime Minister Tony Blair during a trade mission to India.
He said 400 of the jobs would be created in Armagh and the other 200 in either Belfast or Armagh, depending on operational requirements.
The Indian firm, HCL, already employs 140 people in Armagh.
