Blair urges UN condemnation of terrorism

Prime Minister Tony Blair said he will urge next week’s UN summit of world leaders to strongly condemn all those who incited or encouraged terrorism, a move he said was long overdue.

Blair is battling radical Muslim clerics he blames for spreading a violent ideology that led to the July 7 bombings in London.

“We’ve got to take a very strong stand on the part of the international community, saying, we condemn this, we condemn it utterly,” Blair said following an India-EU summit in New Delhi.
