Counties 'bank' on footballing success
Bank of Ireland's sponsorship of the 2005 All-Ireland senior football championship has started to pay dividends for each of the competing counties.
All teams, including London and New York, who played in this summer's championship have recently been receiving initial cheques of €11,500 - due to the bank's sponsorship.
Further payments are expected to be issued in the coming weeks, depending on each county's progression throughout the championship campaign.
Each of the eight counties who made it to their respective provincial finals - Cork, Kerry, Galway, Mayo, Dublin, Laois, Tyrone and Armagh - are to receive an added €6,500 while the All-Ireland finalists - Kerry and Tyrone - will both receive €12,500.
Each provincial council will receive €70,000 while the provincial council of Britain can expect €15,500.
