Williams in digital singing controversy

British pop star Robbie Williams is furious he has been criticised for using vocal enhancing software - because it doesn't mean he can't sing.

The Angels hitmaker routinely uses AutoTune, a programme which corrects wrong notes, in the recording studio but insists it is no different to having a spellcheck programme on a computer.

He said: "Everybody uses AutoTune these days. Have you got spellcheck on your computer? Do you use it? Why is that, can't you spell?"
